This striking sculpture depicts Cúchulainn, the legendary warrior of Irish mythology, shown in his final stand—mortally wounded yet bound to a standing stone so he could continue to face his enemies with courage and defiance.

The design is inspired by the original statue created by Oliver Sheppard in 1911, later adopted as a memorial to the 1916 Easter Rising and famously placed in Dublin’s General Post Office. Rich in symbolism and Irish heritage, this sculpture represents bravery, sacrifice, and national identity.
